Hard water and high mineral content are common. Test hardness, iron and particulate load before nipple lines, filters, medicators and evaporative pads are selected — scaling ruins pads and blocks nipples, and filtration is far cheaper to specify now than to retrofit after it costs you a flock.
Retrofit dimensions and downtime
Most work here is inside an existing house. Require a measured survey before order: clear internal width and height, truss spacing, existing inlet positions, panel and cable routes, and the exact turnaround window between flocks. The programme risk on a retrofit is downtime, not shipping.
Electrical capacity, drives and standards
Confirm every motor and panel is supplied for 50 Hz at 230/400 V with a recognised build standard and labelling a local electrician can follow, and check the site's connection capacity against tunnel-ventilation starting loads. Inverter-driven fans and staged starting reduce both peak demand and running cost over a long cooling season.

Supply is reliable by regional standards, but a ventilation failure in a summer heat event is fatal within minutes.
