About HatchMatch
Our approach to animal welfare and sustainability
Last updated: 22 October 2026
We support animal welfare and humane, appropriate conditions for poultry and other animals, alongside practical sustainability. As a group, we commit to investing 2% of our profits in initiatives that support the planet and animals.
What this means in our work
- HatchMatch helps commercial buyers plan and source poultry projects, equipment and products. Buyers can include welfare, housing, climate and handling requirements in their brief, and those requirements form part of the brief our team works from.
- Our guides and tools aim to support sound, practical decisions on housing, ventilation, space, water and resource use, with sources cited where we rely on them.
- Meeting animal-welfare, animal-health and environmental laws remains the responsibility of each farm, supplier, integrator and buyer in their own country.
The 2% commitment
Global B2B Group, which HatchMatch belongs to, commits to investing 2% of its profits — not revenue or transaction value — in initiatives that support the planet and animals. This is a commitment about the future. It is not a statement that a particular amount has already been invested, and this page does not name recipients or amounts.
What this statement does not mean
- It is not a certification, seal, label or audit result, and the small Earth-and-seedling mark in our footer is not a certification mark.
- It does not mean that every farm, supplier, product or project on or through HatchMatch has been audited, or that it meets a particular welfare, organic, environmental or other standard.
- Supplier claims about welfare or certifications are the supplier's own statements unless we say otherwise for a specific case.
