A turnkey hatchery project covers the full chain from egg reception to chick despatch: egg store and pre-warming rooms, setters, hatchers, hatchery HVAC and airflow zoning, generator and UPS backup, chick processing (take-off, counting, sexing, vaccination), chick holding and despatch rooms, hatchery waste handling, washroom and biosecurity flow, plus the building shell, drainage and utilities that make those rooms work.

Equipment typically accounts for 45–60% of total capital cost, the building and utilities 30–45%, and engineering, installation, commissioning and training the remainder. A one-directional flow — dirty to clean, egg side to chick side, never crossing — is the single design decision that determines whether the plant can hold hygiene at full load.

What moves the price

Single-stage incubation costs more in machines and power distribution but gives better hygiene and per-batch control; multi-stage is cheaper to buy and cheaper to run at constant throughput. Other main drivers: automation depth in chick processing, HVAC duty (a Gulf or West African site needs far more cooling than a temperate one), standby power sizing, OEM origin, Incoterms, and whether installation and commissioning are in scope.
