United States to Canada: importing shell eggs and processed egg products

Short answer

Canada lists the United States as eligible for both shell eggs and processed egg products. Each shipment needs a government certificate, a licensed Canadian importer and an import permit, because eggs and egg products are under import controls and tariff-rate quotas. Since 19 September 2026, US certificates for processed egg products are digitally signed. Canada took 79.7% of US table-egg exports in 2024.
