Product sourcing — pilot
Wholesale poultry and egg sourcing
A structured sourcing brief for commercial buyers of poultry meat, table and hatching eggs, day-old chicks, live birds and egg products — importers, distributors, processors, retailers, foodservice, manufacturers, hatcheries and farms. Free for buyers. Every brief gets human review, and HatchMatch aims to reply within two business days.
USD 250,000+ total annual, seasonal or single-lot value — not per shipment.
Why importers, retailers, foodservice groups, wholesalers and processors source through HatchMatch · Offer comparison checklist
How your sourcing request is handled
- You describe the needProduct, grade and size, chilled or frozen, packing, volume, frequency, destination and required documents.
- Our team sources and evaluates fitA person reviews the brief, researches independent suppliers for your scope and checks their fit against your stated requirements. Suppliers decide whether to respond.
- We compare options for youAny responses received are organised on the same fields so scope, assumptions and exclusions can be compared. Supplier communication runs through HatchMatch; contact details are not shared automatically.
Free for buyers · B2B requests reviewed from USD 250,000
Every brief is reviewed by a person; we aim to reply within 2 business days. Supplier response times vary. HatchMatch does not confirm supplier certification, animal-health or regulatory status, stock or delivery dates; those come from suppliers' own documents and the relevant authorities.
Buyer guides: how to write a poultry and egg RFQ · how to evaluate supplier offers
Private briefs, not a public supplier directory
Managed B2B opportunities require USD 250,000+ total annual, seasonal or lot value and staff review. This buyer form requires that total requested value before submission; individual shipments may be smaller within a qualifying program. Below-threshold seller supply remains private and unqualified. Values are buyer estimates, not confirmed prices.
Producer? Offer commercial eggs, chicks or poultry products privately
This is a sourcing-intake pilot: we do not claim live inventory, verified supply, supplier certifications, traceability, audits, payments, logistics execution or guaranteed matches. Certifications such as halal are recorded as your requirement — never as an assumed supplier attribute. Looking for farm equipment or a turnkey project instead? Request an equipment quote (projects from USD $250K).
Food supply is separate from hatchery procurement
This buyer brief accepts requests for screening, not confirmed supply: table eggs, hatching eggs, day-old chicks, live birds, chicken or turkey meat, processed egg products and other poultry products. Hatching eggs, chicks and live birds have their own veterinary, import-permit and animal-transport rules, so every request is screened against the destination before any supplier contact. HatchMatch does not transport, inspect or certify animals or products.
Hatchery design and equipment procurement remains our core project service: define capacity, building interfaces and equipment scope before researching manufacturers.
From brief to a reviewed sourcing conversation
- Define a comparable request. Product specification, quantity, delivery terms and total value give potential offers the same starting point.
- HatchMatch reviews your brief. Our team checks scope and qualification and may ask for missing information before contacting potential suppliers on your behalf.
- Review evidence before proceeding. Supplier information and destination requirements need checking. No introduction or identity disclosure happens automatically; staff approval and specific consent are required.
Buyer requests are free; the existing supplier-side and financing approval model is unchanged. HatchMatch facilitates procurement, not farms, inventory, manufacturing, freight, certification or guaranteed transaction results.
Why commercial poultry and egg buyers source through HatchMatch
HatchMatch is a free buyer-side sourcing service for commercial volumes of eggs and poultry products. Instead of finding, briefing and following up with each producer or exporter yourself, you send one structured brief. Our sourcing team turns it into a comparable RFQ, contacts potential suppliers on your behalf, coordinates their questions and documents, and sets out the responses side by side. That can save search and coordination time and give you a better-documented basis for your decision. It does not guarantee lower prices, margins, availability, quality or compliance, and you keep the decision.
Who the service is for
Importers and distributors
Recurring shipments into a specific destination, where each supplier and establishment must be eligible for that market and every shipment needs the right documents.
We frame the request around your destination, product and Incoterm, and ask suppliers up front for the eligibility and document evidence you will need to check.
Supermarket and hypermarket category buyers
Consistent grade, size, pack format and labelling across a range, with the food-safety certification your business accepts and a delivery schedule that fits the category plan.
We put pack formats, grades, certification requirements and volumes into one specification, so offers can be compared line by line rather than from different brochures.
Foodservice groups
Defined portions, cuts or egg formats in foodservice packs, with stable specifications across sites and a reliable delivery rhythm.
We state portion and pack requirements, frequency and delivery points clearly and collect each supplier's answers on the same points.
Wholesalers
Volume programmes across several formats, often from more than one origin, with flexibility on lot size and shipment timing.
We separate the total programme from each shipment, and ask suppliers to quote formats, lot sizes and lead times in the same structure.
Food processors and manufacturers
Raw material to a technical specification — for example deboned meat, cuts, liquid or dried egg — with documented composition, handling and storage conditions.
We turn your technical specification into RFQ questions and gather the specification sheets and supporting documents suppliers provide.
What our team coordinates for you
Dedicated sourcing support. A member of our sourcing team reviews your brief, asks for anything missing and remains the point of contact for that request. Every brief is reviewed by a person; we aim to reply within two business days, and supplier response times vary.
Supply and specification comparison. Responses are organised against your specification — product, grade or cut, state (chilled or frozen), packing, origin, volumes and terms — so differences and gaps are visible before you negotiate.
Structured RFQs. One request with the same questions for every potential supplier, instead of separate e-mail threads with different assumptions.
Supplier document coordination. We ask suppliers for the documents your destination and your business require — for example establishment eligibility, health-certificate model, food-safety or halal certification, specification sheets and test reports — and track what has been provided. We check that requested documents are present and match the brief; this is not an inspection, audit or regulatory approval.
Product formats, volumes and delivery needs. Shell eggs or egg products, whole birds or cuts, bulk or retail-packed; volume per shipment and per programme; Incoterm, destination port, cold chain and shipment schedule are recorded once and put to every supplier.

What commercial buyers typically have to check
Importing and buying eggs and poultry products commercially involves eligibility, certification and delivery checks that differ by destination and by buyer. A few examples from official and standard-setting bodies:
- For the EU, lists of food-producing establishments in non-EU countries are proposed by approved non-EU countries and maintained by the European Commission. [1]
- For the United States, meat, poultry and egg products may come only from foreign establishments that the exporting country's competent authority certifies as eligible under a system FSIS has found equivalent. [2]
- Retail and foodservice buyers often specify a food-safety certification they accept; GFSI benchmarks certification programmes to support their mutual acceptance across the industry. [3]
- Codex Alimentarius codes of practice set international food hygiene guidance that many product specifications refer to. [4]
- WOAH's Terrestrial Animal Health Code sets the international animal-health standards behind many veterinary certificates for poultry and eggs. [5]
- Delivery responsibilities, costs and risk transfer depend on the Incoterm agreed for each shipment. [6]
These requirements are set by the destination authorities and by your business. Producers and exporters remain responsible for their products meeting them; HatchMatch helps you ask for and organise the evidence.
Your identity and projects stay confidential
- Your company name, volumes, target prices and plans are not published and are not shared with suppliers automatically.
- Our team contacts suppliers on your behalf and shares only what they need to respond to the request.
- Introductions and identity disclosure happen only after staff approval and your specific consent; there is no direct buyer–supplier messaging through the platform.
What we do not promise
- No guaranteed price reductions, margins or savings.
- No guaranteed availability, volumes, quality or delivery dates.
- No guarantee that any supplier or product complies with the rules of your market.
- No fixed number of supplier responses; suppliers decide whether to respond.
HatchMatch is a sourcing intermediary. It is not a producer, exporter, importer, veterinarian, laboratory or regulator, and it does not take ownership of goods. Producers and exporters remain responsible for product compliance; buyers remain responsible for their own import permissions and due diligence. The service applies to commercial requests of USD 250,000 or more in total annual, seasonal or single-lot value.

Frequently asked questions
Why source through HatchMatch instead of contacting producers myself?
You send one structured brief instead of finding, briefing and following up with each producer or exporter separately. Our sourcing team turns it into a comparable RFQ, contacts potential suppliers on your behalf, coordinates their questions and documents, and sets out the responses against your specification. It can save search and coordination time; you keep the decision. The service is free for buyers.
Will sourcing through HatchMatch lower my purchase price?
Not necessarily. Comparable offers can support a better-documented negotiation, but HatchMatch does not guarantee lower prices, margins, availability, quality or compliance. Prices and terms are set by suppliers and agreed by you.
Does this brief qualify a managed B2B opportunity?
This buyer brief requires USD 250,000+ total requested annual, seasonal or single-lot value. Each shipment may be smaller within a qualifying program. Your value is a buyer-declared estimate, not a supplier quote; staff review is still required and submission does not promise a match. Commodity-import and infrastructure requests retain their separate qualification rules.
Does HatchMatch hold stock or guarantee a supplier match?
No. HatchMatch does not claim live inventory, verified supply or guaranteed matches. Your brief is reviewed by a person, and availability is established in the sourcing conversation — never assumed on this page.
Can I request halal or other certifications?
Yes — state certifications such as halal as your requirement in the brief. A requirement is not evidence that a given supplier holds the certification; verification and documentation are part of the sourcing process.
What happens after I submit my brief?
Every brief gets human review, and HatchMatch aims to reply within two business days. Nothing is shared with suppliers automatically, and your details are not published.
Can one brief cover several poultry and egg products?
Yes. Add up to four more food products — for example frozen chicken cuts, table eggs and liquid egg — to the same brief, each with its own form, grade or size, packaging, volume, frequency and preferred origin. Destination, delivery dates and documents apply to the whole brief, and the USD 250,000 total covers all products. Hatching eggs, day-old chicks and live birds need their own brief because of veterinary and transport screening.
What should a wholesale egg buyer specify?
State table eggs versus processed egg products, size or grade, packing and case counts, quantity per delivery, frequency, origin preferences, destination, remaining shelf-life requirements and storage needs. Hatching eggs are a separate category with breed, egg-age and veterinary requirements, not interchangeable with food eggs. Sellers use the separate private output intake.
Can a producer offer eggs, chicks or meat here?
Producers use the supplier portal’s commercial output intake, not this buyer form. Seller declarations and documents stay private pending staff review; no automatic publication or direct buyer chat is provided.
Is private review consent permission to disclose my identity?
No. Review consent permits review and contact by HatchMatch, not an automatic introduction. Output identity disclosure remains disabled pending staff approval and specific consent from both parties. HatchMatch does not provide veterinary, food-safety or import approval.
