Climate first

Tunnel ventilation + pad cooling is the single biggest mortality and FCR driver in hot climates. Spec it correctly before saving on peripherals.

FCR economics

Feed is 60–70% of OPEX. A 0.05 improvement in FCR pays back automation faster than most owners expect.

Biosecurity zoning

Clean / dirty road separation, shower-in/out, vehicle disinfection. Cheap to design in, expensive to retrofit.

Spare parts strategy

Confirm 24-month parts kit, local service partner and remote diagnostics before signing.
