How we run commercial procurement for medium and large poultry projects.
A documented six-step methodology used across every commercial engagement — scoped brief, supplier vetting, bid normalization, technical and commercial review, and (where required) an introduction to an independent third-party financing partner.
- 1
Project Scoping
Structured intake of bird type, capacity, site status, climate profile, automation level, offtake and success criteria. Output: a scoped brief every shortlisted supplier receives verbatim, so quotes stay comparable.
- 2
RFQ Structuring
Line-item specification packages aligned with industry practice — equipment schedules, capacity assumptions, warranty envelope, Incoterms, delivery window and installation scope. Buyer sees exactly what suppliers see.
- 3
Supplier Vetting
Shortlisting against manufacturer registry: production track record, reference installations, aftermarket footprint, spare-parts network in the buyer's region, certifications where relevant. Vendor-neutral — no paid placement.
- 4
Bid Normalization
Comparative table normalizing specs, capacity, Incoterms, freight, installation, warranties and lead times. Documented deltas flag where a lower headline price hides scope gaps.
- 5
Commercial & Technical Review
Terms review (payment schedule, retention, LDs, IP), commissioning plan (FAT / SAT), spare-parts strategy and OPEX envelope. Aligned with buyer's engineering and finance teams.
- 6
Financing & Award
Where financing is required, introduction to an independent third-party financing partner — ECA-backed buyer credit, agribusiness lending, leasing — subject to their underwriting and approval. Award pack, contracts, delivery and commissioning follow-through.
