Product, trade and import rules: who is responsible
Global B2B Group and its platforms, including HatchMatch Group, are committed to conducting their own activities in accordance with the laws and regulations that apply to them.
HatchMatch facilitates sourcing and requests for quotation (RFQs) for commercial poultry, egg and hatchery buyers. It does not itself manufacture, breed, hatch, produce, sell, export or import the birds, eggs, products or equipment discussed on this site, and it is not a regulatory authority, inspection body or certification body.
Each participant is responsible for the legal requirements that apply to its own role. The allocation below applies to the extent the applicable law places a duty on that role; it does not change who the law makes responsible.
Suppliers, producers and exporters are responsible for ensuring that the products they offer and supply meet the applicable requirements in the origin and destination jurisdictions, where relevant — including product safety and quality, licensing and registration, certification, labelling, traceability, sanitary (animal-health and food-safety) requirements, export rules, and customs and shipping documentation.
Examples of what may apply — only where relevant to the product and route
- Live birds, day-old chicks and hatching eggs: veterinary health certificates and import permits required by the importing country, conditions on flock or hatchery origin and disease status, and animal-welfare rules for transport.
- Table eggs, egg products and poultry meat: food-safety rules, approval or listing of the producing establishment where the destination requires it, grading, marking and labelling, temperature control and official health certificates.
- Poultry equipment and housing: product-safety and conformity rules in the destination market (for example for electrical equipment or machinery) with the related marking or declarations, installation requirements, and customs classification or export-control checks.
Buyers and importers remain responsible for their own import permissions and registrations, the requirements of their own country and site, and their own due diligence on suppliers, products and documents before they contract.
Requirements differ by product, origin, transit and destination country, and they change. No single checklist applies everywhere: confirm the current rules for each product and route with the competent authority.
What this does and does not mean
- HatchMatch remains responsible for the legal duties that apply to its own activities, such as data protection, sanctions and trade-control screening, and the accuracy of what it states in its own name.
- HatchMatch does not guarantee that any supplier, product or document complies with the law. Where our team reviews documents, we say what was reviewed and when; a review is not an inspection, certification or official approval.
- Our team screens requests against our trade-rule register before contacting suppliers. This screening helps identify restricted or prohibited trade; it is not a legal clearance.
- A contract cannot move a duty that the law places on a particular party, and nothing in our terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
- This is general information, not legal advice. For your situation, consult a qualified adviser and the competent authority.

1. Anti-Money-Laundering (AML) & Counter-Terrorist-Financing (CTF)
Users must not use the platform to launder proceeds of crime, structure or layer transactions, obscure beneficial ownership, or finance terrorism or proliferation. HatchMatch Group may, where appropriate, screen users, request identity, corporate, beneficial-ownership and source-of-funds documentation, refuse or unwind introductions, and cooperate with competent authorities. Independent financing partners perform their own KYC / AML / CDD; HatchMatch Group's introduction is not a substitute for their process.
2. International sanctions
Users must comply with applicable sanctions regimes, including EU restrictive measures, the Republic of Cyprus, United Nations Security Council resolutions, the UK Sanctions List, US OFAC (SDN, SSI and sectoral programmes), and any other regime applicable to them. The platform must not be used to source, sell, ship, transship, re-export or finance goods, services, technology or funds to or from any sanctioned country, entity, individual or vessel, or for any prohibited end-use.
3. Export control
Users must comply with all applicable export, re-export, transfer and end-use / end-user controls, including the EU Dual-Use Regulation, Cyprus export-control law, the US EAR (and ITAR where applicable) and the UK Strategic Export Control Lists. Users are responsible for classification, licensing and end-user certification of any controlled item routed through the platform.
4. Anti-bribery & anti-corruption
Users must comply with applicable anti-bribery and anti-corruption laws, including the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), the UK Bribery Act 2010 and equivalent Cyprus / EU laws. Users must not offer, promise, give, request or accept any bribe, kickback, facilitation payment or undue advantage — directly or through intermediaries — in connection with the platform or with any introduction, RFQ, quote, permit, licence or transaction.
5. Screening & documentation
HatchMatch Group may, at its discretion and where appropriate, screen users against sanctions, PEP, adverse-media and beneficial-ownership registers; request supporting documentation; delay, refuse or unwind introductions; and retain records for the periods required by applicable law.
6. Reporting
Report suspected money laundering, sanctions violations, corruption or fraud to compliance@hatchmatchgroup.com. Retaliation against good-faith reporters is prohibited.
7. Enforcement
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, HatchMatch Group reserves the right to review, suspend or permanently terminate any user, account, listing, RFQ or transaction that presents a material AML, CTF, sanctions, export-control or anti-corruption risk.

This Policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus with exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Cyprus.
